MoJo launched in 2016 as a nonprofit 501(c)(3) media organization serving as both a journalistic watchdog and celebrant of Greater Yellowstone. MoJo aims to advance civil, scientifically informed discussion through public-interest, fact-based reporting that benefits people and wildlife. Joseph T. O’Connor manages the Environmental Desk at Montana Free Press, and oversees Mountain Journal where he was previously Managing Editor. He has an extensive background in multimedia storytelling including writing, editing, video broadcast and investigative journalism. Joe served as Editor-in-Chief for Mountain Outlaw magazine and the Explore Big Sky newspaper in Big Sky, Montana. Ellis Juhlin

Ellis Juhlin is the Montana climate reporter for Mountain Journal/Montana Free Press, Grist and Report for America. She previously worked as Montana Public Radio’s inaugural environmental reporter where she covered agriculture, energy, natural resources, wildlife and climate change. Her reporting has been regularly featured by NPR and member stations across the country. She has a background in wildlife conservation, and holds a master’s of science in ecology from Utah State University. Nick is an award-winning journalist and author based in Livingston, MT. His work has appeared everywhere from your local airwaves to High Country News, NPR, The Atlantic, The Washington Post, and many, many more. He’s also produced nationally renowned podcasts, including The Wide Open, Richest Hill, Fireline and Threshold. His podcast productions have received some of the highest honors in audio, including two National Edward R. Murrow Awards and a Peabody.
