More than a year into a government dispute, conflicting statements about candidates, polling locations and absentee voting mark the Northern Cheyenne’s upcoming council election. Tribal leaders say contradictory statements about who is on the ballot, where to vote and who is allowed to vote have sown frustration and confusion and eroded public trust in tribal officials.
