For years, Lake County officials and Gov. Greg Gianforte have disagreed on which entity — the county or the state — is responsible for funding law enforcement services on the Flathead Reservation. A new law offers a path toward resolving that long-standing dispute between the state, Lake County and Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes.
