Bukacek presumptive winner of Republican PSC primary

The latest count for the District 5 Public Service Commission GOP primary puts Flathead Valley physician Ann “Annie” Bukacek 87 votes ahead of termed-out state legislator Derek Skees. Though Bukacek’s lead has grown by 13 votes since the June 8 count, the margin is still tight enough — within half of 1% — that the secretary of state has it flagged as being one of just three primary races that could be eligible for a recount. Skees hasn’t said if he’ll pursue a recount.
