Zolnikov called it “absurd” that some Republicans are supporting Tidswell, a write-in candidate, instead of himself, the Republican nominee. He said it boiled down to his own opposition to certain Republican candidates earlier this year. “Because they have been involved in progressive dollars and supporting primary people against known Republicans,” Zolnikov said. “And I called them out for it. I said Republicans don’t use Democrat dollars.”
