Projects Editor Brad Tyer, based in MTFP's Helena office, manages long-term reporting projects, editorial initiatives, and newsroom collaborations. Before joining Montana Free Press in 2019, he reported and edited for the Missoula Independent, Texas Observer, and Houston Press. His book “Opportunity, Montana: Big Copper, Bad Water, and the Burial of an American Landscape” was published by Beacon Press.
