The campaign of a Republican running for Illinois governor says four members of the man’s family were killed in a helicopter crash in Montana. Former Illinois state Sen. Darren Bailey’s son, daughter-in-law and two of their children were killed in the crash. Bailey ran and lost in the 2022 gubernatorial election in Illinois. He is seeking his party’s nomination again in next year’s race. The National Transportation Safety Board said that it was investigating a helicopter crash near Ekalaka.
