Fort Peck Community College on Tuesday announced it received an $11 million donation from the MacKenzie Scott Foundation — the largest gift in the tribal college’s history. Tribal colleges and universities are institutions of higher education, chartered by tribes, that aim to meet the educational and cultural needs of Native communities. Scott has donated to several tribal colleges in Montana in recent years.
